Working principle and purpose:
Principle: Based on the differences in solubility or chemical reactivity of each component in a gas mixture in a specific liquid.
Process: The mixed gas (inert gas + solute gas) is brought into full, counter-current contact with the liquid absorbent inside the tower. The solute gas diffuses from the gas phase to the liquid phase and is absorbed. The purified gas (tail gas) is discharged from the top of the tower, and the liquid rich in solute gas (rich liquid) is discharged from the bottom of the tower.
Core objective:
1. Gas purification: Removal of harmful components (such as flue gas desulfurization and denitrification).
2. Recovery of valuable components: Recovery of useful substances from waste gas (e.g., recovery of benzene from coal gas using wash oil).
3. Product preparation: Converting gaseous components into liquid products (e.g., using water to absorb HCl gas to produce hydrochloric acid).
4. Protect downstream equipment: Remove corrosive or toxic components.
